| Congratulations to Jo McConnell and Lynne West for organising such a great gala. It gave swimmers a valuable lesson on how competitions are run, not to let nerves get the better of them and mostly to enjoy their swimming. I hope this gala has given the swimmers confidence in entering the Betty George and Frank Hawkins Gala on the 1st May. Finally I think we need to thank all volunteers on the night, coaches parents and older swimmers, many of whom didn't have their own children, brothers or sisters competing on the night. Without their help this gala could not have gone ahead. Rosie Biddle |
